What is a Level 2 background screening?
A Florida Level 2 screening generally includes a fingerprint-based search of state and national criminal-history information. The employer, licensing agency, or regulated organization determines when the screening is required.
What is an ORI number?
An ORI number is an agency identifier used to route electronic fingerprint results to the correct organization. Applicants must bring the complete ORI supplied by the requesting agency.
Can you find my ORI number?
We can review the information you bring, but the requesting employer, licensing board, school, agency, or application portal should provide the correct ORI. Applicants should not guess or use a code from an unrelated profession.
What is a TCN?
A TCN is a Transaction Control Number assigned to an electronic fingerprint transaction. Save it with your receipt because it may be needed to check submission status.
What identification should I bring?
Bring valid government-issued photo identification and any second form of identification required by your agency. Healthcare and other regulated applications may have specific identity-verification requirements.
How long does the fingerprint appointment take?
The capture process is generally brief after identification and application information have been verified. Additional time may be needed for forms, photographs, demographic information, multiple cards, or group appointments.
How long do background-check results take?
Timing varies by agency, screening program, fingerprint quality, and whether additional review is required. The requesting agency controls the final review and eligibility decision.
Do you provide fingerprinting at your office?

Do you offer FBI FD-258 fingerprint cards?
Yes. We provide professionally rolled fingerprints on FBI FD-258 cards for agencies and applications that require paper fingerprint cards.
Can I use Live Scan fingerprints for an out-of-state license?
Only when the receiving agency accepts the submission method being used. Many out-of-state boards require FD-258 cards or a state-specific process. Bring the agency's written instructions.

Can you send my fingerprint results directly to me?
Electronic background-screening results are generally routed to the requesting agency associated with the ORI. The fingerprinting provider does not necessarily receive or release the final report.
Can you apostille an FBI background check?
An eligible FBI background check may require a federal apostille for use in a Hague Convention country. The process depends on the document issued and the destination country.
How much does fingerprinting cost?
